For the past eight years, Elisava Alumni has played a key role in promoting emerging design within the Elisava community. Last March, the Elisava - La Capell 2023 call for proposals was launched once again. This collaboration between Elisava and La Capell has proven to be an exceptional launching pad for emerging designers to showcase their creations to the world.

Last June 20th, the projects selected to be part of La Capell's catalog were announced. Ten projects, subjected to an exhaustive evaluation by a panel of experts in product design, sales and communication, stood out among all the proposals received. These selected projects, coming from both Elisava students and the Elisava Alumni community, were considered optimal for commercialization and are now in preparation to be included in La Capell's catalog.

Below, we present a selection:

· CURVO

Designed by Agustina Vieites and Alumni Sergio Conches, CURVO is inspired by the shape of the circumference, achieving an exceptional geometric synthesis. This mobile is characterized by its materiality and delicate chromatics, creating a double vane that, together with the reflections and transparencies of its pieces, produces a subtle dance of light and shadow around the composition.

· PAMI

PAMI is an auxiliary furniture lamp designed by the team composed by Berta Albiac, Queralt Font and Albert Roca. This piece illuminates the space warmly and enhances the objects selected to decorate it. With its small size and vertical design, it is easily transportable and adapts perfectly to any environment. Each slat of the lamp has a brass rod inserted, distributing electricity and providing uniform and harmonious lighting at each level of the piece and in the surrounding space.

· PORTION ASHTRAY

Designed by Laura Palacios, this modular ashtray, composed of four pieces, has been created to be shared and enjoyed in a group. Made of beech wood and protected with a fireproof varnish, PORTION ASHTRAY stands out for its elegant simplicity and functionality.

· SEKU

Starting from a minimal metal sheet and after a simple bending, SEKU, designed by Francisco Mazo, creates a set of mirror and vase with architectural and sober lines. It invites the user to participate in the creative process by bending the piece and shaping it according to his or her taste, turning the creative act into a unique and personalized experience.

· MOCA'T

An ingenious tissue dispenser designed by student Núria Perea. Equipped with a practical hanging ring, MOCA'T ensures that you always have tissues within reach when you need them most.

· NRH

The NRH clock, designed by Alumni Joan Pahissa and Pedro Soveral, founders of Besonder Design, is made primarily from maple wood, recycled plastic and noble paper. Every hour, this clock rotates a sheet of paper, creating a pleasant sound that contributes to a sense of tranquility.

OSTARA

OSTARA, a lamp designed by Alumni Alan Mayorga. Its simple silhouette suggests sobriety and seriousness, but a pair of hands peeking out from its side invites you to interact and discover its essence. Ostara's aluminum tube body, with two cut-outs at the top, allows light to escape. The most prominent elements are the two rotating discs, one of aluminum at the top that reflects and redirects the light at will.
