The Ministry of Science and Innovation has launched the call for the 2023 edition of the National Innovation and Design Awards.

These awards seek to highlight individuals and organizations that have made innovation an essential element in their professional development and business growth. They also honor professionals and companies that have contributed significantly to the prestige of Spanish design, demonstrating that design is a powerful lever for innovation and competitiveness.

In this edition, changes have been introduced. Here are the seven award categories available:

1. National Innovation Award in the 'Innovative Trajectory' category, aimed at people with at least fifteen years of experience, where innovation has been a relevant feature.

2. National Innovation Award in the 'Large Innovative Company' category, aimed at large companies with at least fifteen years of innovative activity.

3. National Innovation Award in the category 'Small and Medium-sized Innovative Company', aimed at SMEs with a proven innovative activity of at least five years.

4. National Innovation Award in the 'Young Innovative Talent' category, aimed at young people with proven innovative potential, aged no more than 35.

5. National Design Award in the category 'Trajectory in Design', aimed at design professionals with at least fifteen years of recognized prestige in the sector.

6. National Design Prize in the 'Design and Business' category, aimed at companies that have incorporated the design into their business strategy for at least ten years.

7. National Design Award in the 'Young Design Professionals' category, aimed at designers under 35 years of age.

The nature of these distinctions is honorary, except for the modality of 'Small and Medium Innovative Company', endowed with 50,000 euros; 'Young Innovative Talent', with 30,000 euros; 'Trajectory in Design', with 50,000 euros; and 'Young Design Professionals', with 30,000 euros.

The deadline for submitting your applications is 15 June at 3:00 p.m. (peninsular time).
