The architecture studio of the Alumni, Marcos Catalán, has joined forces with the architect Jorge Vidal to carry out a joint project: the Casa Cortijo Jamonero. This intervention focuses on an old farmhouse that has been linked for years to livestock farming.
The Casa Cortijo Jamonero stands out for its focus on the preservation and resurrection of the farmhouse typology. The incorporation of different geometric bodies in constant evolution and the reuse of pre-existing structures contribute to its harmonious integration into the natural environment. This housing project has gained national recognition, being awarded the FAD Interiorismo 2023 Award and the Spanish Biennial Award for Architecture and Urbanism BEAU XVI 2023.
A unique opportunity to learn more about this project is presented next Monday, November 20, when Marcos Catalán will give an informative talk at Elisava, in the Aleix Carrió Hall. The event is scheduled for 19:00 h.
